Cooking Poetries

with the orange hue in the sky

and a palpable sense of rhyme

in the air,

i light up the poet in me.

as nostalgic odes and alluring ditties

ensnared the meaning of romance,

in the pan of overwhelming emotions,

I stir them to thicken the broth

of allegory of a poet’s journey,

through poems.

a pinch of alliteration and puns,

with metaphors added to taste,

aroma of tangy and spiciness

fills my nostrils,

as similes and assonance are appended.
